Vietnamese Egg Coffee
To a coffee cup or small bowl, add the egg yolk. Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla, to taste.
With the spoon, whisk fast for at least 5 minutes, until the egg is light and creamy. Pour in the shot of espresso and stir to combine.
Warm the milk in a saucepan or in the microwave. Using a milk frother or the steam wand on an espresso machine, froth the milk until foamy. Pour the steamed milk over the top of the coffee and stir to combine. Enjoy!
Note: for a more traditional take, serve this coffee over ice.
Italian Egg Coffee
To a coffee cup or small bowl, add the egg yolk and sugar to taste.
With the spoon, whisk fast for at least 5 minutes, until the egg is light, thick, and creamy.
Pour in the shot of espresso and stir to combine.
Warm the milk in a saucepan or in the microwave. Using a milk frother or the steam wand on an espresso machine, froth the milk until foamy. Pour the steamed milk over the top of the coffee.
Gently swirl to mix the flavors together and enjoy!
